Falaknuma Palace on a floodlit night, a Telugu ceremony that runs from 4am muhurtham to a midday feast, a Hyderabadi Nikah with its own quiet weight. Hyderabad weddings are big — we bring a team that matches the scale.
WhatsApp Us View StoriesHyderabad does weddings at a scale most cities do not attempt. A Telugu wedding here can start before sunrise for the muhurtham and run through a full day of rituals, with several hundred guests moving through a palace lawn or a convention hall the size of an airport. A Hyderabadi Muslim wedding carries a different rhythm entirely — the Mangni, the Nikah, the Valima, each its own event, each with its own guest list. Photographing either one well means understanding what happens next before it happens.
We are a Delhi studio, and we take on a small number of weddings outside the NCR each year. This page is the guide we would give any couple planning a Hyderabad wedding — the venues, the timings, and the two very different traditions the city runs on — along with how we would approach the coverage. When we do travel, we come with the full team and kit: lighting assistants, second and third shooters, backup bodies. Nothing assembled locally on the day.
The Nizam's former residence, on a hill above the old city — a 101-seat dining table, the Jade Room, chandelier-lit courtyards. Access and timing are tightly controlled here, so any shot list has to be built around what the palace allows, not the other way round.
A city classic for large Hyderabadi weddings. Ballrooms that hold the guest count, a poolside that works for the Sangeet, and enough corridors to keep a getting-ready sequence private.
Heritage courtyards and the Khilwat Mubarak durbar hall, used mostly for smaller ceremonies and portraits. The scale of the architecture does half the work.
Modern grand-hotel scale with pillar-free ballrooms — a gift for baraat and mandap sightlines. Deccan-inspired interiors that photograph warm rather than clinical.
One of the largest convention venues in the country, built for the 2,000-plus-guest wedding. The ceilings are high and the halls are deep, so lighting has to be planned rather than improvised.
Open lawns and water on the city's edge, for couples who want a resort feel without leaving Hyderabad. Golden hour by the lake is the reason people pick it.
Hyderabad weddings also happen in farmhouses, function halls and family homes across the city and Secunderabad. Send us your venue and we will tell you how we would cover it.
A Telugu wedding and a Hyderabadi-Muslim wedding share a city and little else — the muhurtham and the jeelakarra-bellam moment, versus the Mangni, the Nikah and the Valima. We brief in full on whichever one it is, so nothing has to be explained mid-ceremony.
Hyderabad venues are large. Our standard kit and team size are set up for a 2,000-guest hall, so the far side of the room is lit as well as the stage.
A 4am muhurtham means being set up at 3. The plan — sleep, transport, battery cycles — is built around the real timeline, not the one on the invitation.
We take a limited number of weddings outside Delhi NCR each month. The sooner you reach out, the better.
